D.7 Settings

I. Site maintenance

Here Admin can use the toggle (switch) for temporarily disable the web apps for Parents and Students, e.g. for site maintenance or fixing issues. Backoffice web app would still be accessible at this point (for in-house Admins or Staff).

II. Homework-Buddy wordings

Wordings that are available here can be translated, and supports for more than one input (array of textarea). They will be displayed randomly to the users when multiple wordings are provided for a single topic.

The wordings topics are what the homework-buddy will say (randomly, if provided more than one)

  • Intro: the greeting on the landing page (after logging in).
  • Check-in happy: when users choose "happy" after checked in.
  • Check-in optimistic: when users choose "optimistic" after checked in.
  • Check-in stressed: when users choose "stressed" after checked in.
  • Check-in angry: when users choose "angry" after checked in.
  • Check-in feeling down: when users choose "feeling down" after checked in.
  • Check-in feeling afraid / sad: when users choose "afraid / sad" after checked in.
  • New assignment: greeting (or tips) when users choose the new assignment feature.
  • View assignment: greeting (or tips) when users view the existing assignment.
  • Finished assignment: when users finished an assignment.
  • Home-board greetings: greeting (or tips) when users visited the home-board.
  • Project-board greetings: greeting (or tips) when users visited any project-board.

III. Check-in types

Here Admin can customize the check-in types icon and wordings. There are several types:

  • Happy
  • Optimistic
  • Stressed
  • Angry
  • Feeling down
  • Feeling afraid or sad

and each of them has the following config:

  • Text: textarea (multilines) - Admin can write multiple lines of words expressing this kind of check-in type.
  • Icon: SVG
  • Color: the representative color for this check-in type (emotion?) 

IV. Rewards

Here Admin can see the list of all rewards, also to manage their scoring system. Rewards, by default, are Sterne (Star), Sternschnuppen (Shooting stars), and Galaxien (Galaxy). Admin can create a new reward, edit, and delete existing one (if it does not being used or given yet).

The fields are:

  • Name: with translation options
  • Icon: SVG for the reward icon
  • Number of consecutive days: how many consecutive days the students need to finish their daily timeframe in order to get this reward.
